The Pre-Christmas Recap {in January}

I realize how incredibly uncool it is to post about Christmas this far into January, but after living the good life for 3 weeks at home, flying back into the future (the future being the 6 hour time difference between NC and Germany), and battling 7 days of BRU-TAL jet lag, I feel I've earned the right to share my Christmas photos all the way until April if I want to. Well, that and the fact that if I don't get these photos up on the blog and into my mom's hands, she might disown me...but no one needs to focus on that. I swear, we love each other. For the sake of being as brief as possible (and I say 'as possible' because it is, in fact, basically impossible to show you all the fun I had at home in one single blog post), I'm just going to give you the "highlight reel" of our AMAZING Christmas spent in America. If ever a Christmas was to completely burst my heart with love, this one was it folks. I almost have no words to describe the happiness being home brought my heart this year. And definitely no words to describe how awful it was to hop a plane back to Germany without my pup and family. The amount of homesickness flowing through me as I post these photos is a bit mind numbing. You guys totally owe me.  A plane ticket back to North Carolina will do. ;)

-Puppy snuggles-

{Video of Tuck going bonkers after finally getting to see D after 15 long months apart. It totally melts my fur-mommy heart.}

 -Christmas sugar cookie baking & decorating...a family tradition-

-Peanut Butter Ball making...another fattening family tradition-

-Christmas Eve Glühwein drinking...a newly adopted tradition-

Ok, so I lied. No way can I get all our homegrown Christmassy goodness into one post, or be brief about it. It's just not in my DNA to be brief, I suppose. This was just a mere glimpse into our pre-Christmas Day fun. Can you see why this holiday completely rocked my world this year? Let's just go ahead and meet back here on Thursday for more Christmas cheer. Ok? January won't mind. I asked. ;)
