THE GIRL BEHIND THE BLOG

If you've found your way here, it means one (or all) of three things. One- you love to travel. Two- you have some affiliation with the military. Three- my mommy told you to read my blog. That last one's sad, but true. Either way, I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you stay awhile! Now...more about me!

I'm Casey, a 30-year-old wife, mama, and self-proclaimed foodie with a BS in Nutrition & Wellness (that I'm currently not using, in case you were wondering). I've left my family and friends back in the great state of North Carolina to follow my sweet (and insanely handsome) hubby, David (also known as "D" on the blog), as he travels around the world as an officer in the United States Air Force.

In June of 2011, the military packed up our life and moved us across the pond to start a life of adventure in Germany! After 3 amazing years abroad, traveling to 28 different countries and making memories all across Europe, we made our way back to America in the summer of 2014. We enjoyed life by the sea in the Sunshine State for 2 years before relocating (once again!) to California.

I started this little ol' blog back in the spring of 2011 to keep our family and friends up to speed on our adventures living abroad. Today, you'll find much of the same topics (although my interests are widely varied) including peeks into our daily life as a military family, our exciting travels around Europe, our new life as parents, and my obsession with wine, cooking, and reality TV. If you watch the Bachelorette or Real Housewives of Any City USA, let's talk. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

  • I am a published poet. Seriously.
  • I lost my 5th grade spelling bee for misspelling the word "experiment." That word haunts me to this day.
  • I can't watch an animal die on TV or otherwise...especially if it's a dog. I blame Tucker and his tugging on my heart strings. I love and spoil that pup like I birthed him myself. Because of that, I cry when crocodiles die. Hey, that croc was somebodies baby! Don't judge me.
  • I'm a big believer that laughter is the best medicine. I'm a sucker for sarcasm, quick wittedness, and dry humor. You might find a lot of that here on the blog. You might find a lot of serious stuff, too.
  • I like to write my own recipes. Someday I hope to write my own cookbook.
  • I was raised in a Christian, church-going household and someday, when we have children of our own, we'll raise them the same way. God is the cornerstone of our home, our marriage, and our lives in general. My walk with Him is always growing and changing, and although I might not talk about it much here, there's no doubt about it. He is my Lord and Savior. Forever.
  • I can't fall asleep with any doors, drawers, or blinds open. Fact. I will die if I ever see a pair of eyes staring at me from any dark open space.
  • I'm perfectly happy sporting a pair of sweat pants and staying home all day just hanging out with me, myself, and I (ok, and the Mr. too). My exterior screams social butterfly, but I'm an introvert at heart. Thankfully, I can turn it off and on.
  • I've loved the same man (and only man) for almost half my life. You can catch up on our love story here.

For more of our European travels, be sure to check out my WANDERLUST page!

    1. I want to thank Dr Emu a very powerful spell caster who help me to bring my husband back to me, few month ago i have a serious problem with my husband, to the extend that he left the house, and he started dating another woman and he stayed with the woman, i tried all i can to bring him back, but all my effort was useless until the day my friend came to my house and i told her every thing that had happened between me and my husband, then she told me of a powerful spell caster who help her when she was in the same problem I then contact Dr Emu and told him every thing and he told me not to worry my self again that my husband will come back to me after he has cast a spell on him, i thought it was a joke, after he had finish casting the spell, he told me that he had just finish casting the spell, to my greatest surprise within 48 hours, my husband really came back begging me to forgive him, if you need his help you can contact him with via email: Emutemple@gmail.com or add him up on his whatsapp +2347012841542 is willing to help any body that need his help.

  23. Casey!

We were literally on the Celebrity Reflection (same cruise through the Mediterranean) 3 weeks apart- darn it. I would have so LOVED to get to meet you and D in person. I just got off the ship two days ago and am so depressed, so I am reading all of your cruise posts to pretend like I'm still there. Molecular Bar- favorite.place.ever. LOVED that bartender! And our room # was 8301- so we were close. Best experience ever, and you are doing a beautiful job describing the ship and every port.

Have always loved your blog. Love it even more now.

  56. Hi viewers online, I'm Alfonso Vázquez from Mexico. I'm here to share my testimony about how i was helped to get my wife back. I was a cheat and my wife caught me several times. I tried fixing myself and each time i ended up cheating over and over again. I guess i didn't realise what she meant to me until she had left me alone. I began to find a way to get her back but nothing seems to work out perfectly till i came across an article about Lord Zakuza who helped a lot of people globally to get their relationships back. I made contact with him on his WhatsApp number via +1 740-573-9483 and he assured me that my wife will come back to me within 48 hours with his powerful magics and i paid 410 Euros for the materials needed for the work. Surprisingly, my wife came back home after 2 days saying that she still loves me and i swore never to cheat on her anymore. All thanks to Lord Zakuza. Email him via ( lordzakuza7@gmail.com ) or WhatsApp number via +1 740-573-9483.

I want to use this opportunity I have to say a big thanks to Dr Great for getting back my ex husband. I’m Linda Gibson from USA, after 7 years of marriage my husband left me for another woman I did whatever I could to get him back but all I did was in vain I was sad, but I didn’t lose hope of getting him back because I had faith in God. So I search online on how to get my husband back, and I came across a post of Dr Great of how he helped a lady to get back her ex, I contacted him and told him the pain I was going through, he told me what to do and I did it, then he casted a love spell for me 48 hours later my husband called me and told me he is sorry for what he did and that he misses me very much, later that day he came back home and beg for my forgiveness, since then our love grew stronger. For the marvelous things Dr Great has done for me it would be unfair for me not to let the whole world know that such a powerful spell caster do live.
