FRESH FACE FRIDAY [& Blog Hop!: Meet Nicole & Leanne

Guten morgen, my friends! Hope your Friday is starting off nicely. Here in Germany, all American military expats are rejoicing in the face of a glorious 3-day weekend (thank you, Christopher Columbus!)! For this extended weekend, D and I will be making a little day trip out to Luxembourg (you can follow along with our day there via Instagram!). Not really sure what to see or do there, but it's just 2 hours away and it's supposed to be sunny. When in Europe, right? Might as well keep taking advantage of this beautiful continent! This past week was a weird one for me (re: Coffee Talk) and I've been feeling kind of sickly. So, hopefully getting out of the house and satisfying some wanderlust will help me shake the funk. The fact that Germany is finally on board with the pumpkin spice latte has already helped immensely. And Frankfurt just got a Chipotle. High five, Germany! Things are looking up.

If you've got no plans for this long weekend (and even if you do), I hope you'll take some time for friend making and check out the two fun bloggers below. I also hope you'll click that little link down the page a bit and add your blog to the Fresh Face Friday Blog Hop! I'm thinking it's something you guys are really into since all my Fresh Face spots are now booked for 2013! HURRAY! Good thing, I'm really into you guys, too. :)
Go forth and enjoy your weekend, dears! I'll see you on the flip side!

  1. Hi! If you're interested, here are a few suggestions of things to do in Luxembourg. If you're sticking close to the city, there is a farmer's market on Place Guillaume II and Place de Paris from 07:30-13:00 Saturdays. Place Guillaume is also where the tourism office is located. Stop by there and see if they have a brochure for the Wenzel walk. You can get guided tours from the tourist office, but the route is pretty well-marked, and with a brochure, you'd be fine doing the walk without a guide. It takes you through some neat parts of town. For an afternoon coffee, head to Lea Linster's, Konrad's, or the Chocolate Shop. Lea Linster is a Luxembourg chef who makes the best madeleine's ever. Konrad's is a cafe/bar tucked away on a side street with a small lunch menu, and the people are really nice and speak English. The Chocolate House is right across from the palace and has delicious desserts and chocolates. Another thing to do in the city is tour the casemates. If you decide to venture outside of the city, there is a nut festival going on in the town of Vianden. As with all Luxembourg festivals, I expect you'd find food stands selling sausages, beer, and cremant. Try the cremant as it's produced in Luxembourg. Vianden is known for it's large castle that you can also tour. Another thing to do outside the city is tour the Caves of St. Martin, a Luxembourg cremant producer. And I'd always recommend bringing a rain jacket and umbrella. You never know when it might rain here. Have fun!

  2. It is important for history coursework writing service students to seek History Essay Writing Services from a reputable history research paper service provider for their custom history paper writing help services.

I appreciate your feedback, friends! I read every comment and try my hardest to respond to each one, but if your email address isn't attached to your blogger profile, you might find my response in the comment thread instead. As always, thanks for reading!
