TRAVEL TUESDAY: In Bruges-Part 1

If there's one thing you do while visiting Bruges, Belgium, make sure it's tasting their authentic Flemish stew. And eating a liege waffle. Oh, and drinking Belgian beer. Ok, so there are really 3 different things you MUST do while in Bruges to get the best experience possible. And then keep doing them every day your there, just for good measure. D and I spent a lovely long weekend visiting the adorable town of Bruges back over Thanksgiving weekend. We got a room at this quaint hotel just off the Markt Square and spent 2.5 days literally eating and drinking our way through Bruges. To be quite honest, aside from the Christmas market going on in the town center (only happens the end of November through Christmas Eve) and the usual old churches and museums, there isn't a whole heck of a lot to do in Bruges. That was totally fine with us, though. It was nice to come to a town with little expectations and sightseeing plans so we could really enjoy what Bruges had to offer...which was mostly copious amounts of beer. Of course, D and I weren't complaining. You'll see what I mean in future posts.

While you're here this morning, don't forget to grab a button & link up a travel post of your own to Helene In Between's Travel Tuesday link-up! I'm co-hosting this week, so now's your chance to show ME where YOU'VE been traveling!

We Took the Road Less Traveled

THE Flemish Stew. Party in your mouth, peeps.

Chocolate boobs, anyone? D and I got our dads a pair for Christmas. So funny.

  26. Oh my goodness.... your photos are amazing! I want to goooooo!
Salt Lake City has a little hole in the wall called Bruges Waffles and Frites and it is my FAVORITE! I craved it my whole pregnancy, which was torture because I live 4 hours away. It was on man vs food and from what they say, it's pretty authentic. The waffles are amazing! Love the texture and flavors!
