FRESH FACE FRIDAY [& Blog Hop!]: Meet Melanie & Chantal

Hello and happy Friday, my friends! Today, I'm blogging to you from the comfort of my oceanfront balcony in Myrtle Beach, SC! Mom, the little sis, and I drove down yesterday morning to have ourselves a much needed girls beach weekend. I have to tell you, as much as I love traveling around Europe, there is nothing like a simple beach trip with your family. It's been quite a while since I've enjoyed a full-on relaxing vacation with nothing on the agenda other than putting my toes in the sand and choosing which seafood restaurant to eat at tonight. It's kind of been like heaven the last 24 hours. Only thing missing is my sweet husband, but that's military life for ya. In addition to being blissed out ocean side, my visit home has been nothing short of perfect! I've been shamelessly shopping my heart out, stealing lots of puppy kisses from my Tucker-dog, and enjoying time catching up with my family and friends. All the things a good trip home should be filled with. I am so thankful to have had the good fortune to make the journey back to NC and will be soaking up the American good life for another 1.5 weeks. Can a get a WOO HOO?! ;)

So, while I'm working on my tan, you should head on over and meet my first two Fresh Faces for September! While you're making the rounds, don't forget to link your own blog up to the Fresh Face Friday Blog Hop and make some new friends! Here's wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Miss Melanie of the self-named Melanie Fontaine blog is a new friend of mine. Originally hailing from Germany, Melanie is now currently living the expat life in Scandinavia...Norway to be exact! On her blog, she shares lots of beautiful photos (she's quite the photographer!) and recaps from her travels around Europe, peeks into her new life in Norway, and some excellent posts on what expat life is really like from her perspective. I'm always in the market for fun travel blogs and Melanie's fits the bill! Go make friends, folks!
